Looking ahead to the November boxing schedule and ten title fights will take place on UK and US soil.
Our highlights for the month include a pivotal moment for the careers of two boxers, a history-making bout, and a rescheduled fight between two highly skilled fighters.
On Friday 5 November, Scot Hannah Rankin (9-5, 2 KOs) is set to meet Swede Maria Lindberg (19-6, 10 KOs) in London with the WBA and IBO World Super-Welterweight Titles on the line.
While the victor will be looking at future unification bouts, the competitor who comes off second best could face a long road back, making this a pivotal career moment for both fighters.
Over in Las Vegas, Mexican Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (56-1, 39 KOs) will fight American Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) for the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO Super-Middleweight Titles on Saturday 6 November.
History is set to be made as one of the two boxers will be crowned the first undisputed at super-middleweight in the four belt era. After securing the WBC, WBA and WBO belts over the past 11 months, Canelo just needs to overcome underdog Plant to also take the IBF title.
Meanwhile the USA’s Stephen Fulton (19-0, 8 KOs) will take on fellow American Brandon Figueroa (22-0-1, 17 KOs) for the WBC and WBO Super-Bantamweight Titles.
Originally scheduled for September, before Figueroa tested positive for Covid, the fight will now take place on Saturday 27 November in Las Vegas. The pair of highly skilled and entertaining boxers claimed the WBO and WBC titles respectively in impressive fashion, and this should be another great fight.
