Bravose Previews: Fights happening in July 2022

While the boxing schedule may well be looking a little bit light during this month of July, there is one event that could make it a month to remember for the sport of boxing.

On Saturday 30 July at the Arena in Los Angeles USA, Austin McBroom and AnEsonGib will fight it out in a major night for influencers, branded Social Gloves 2.

McBroom's Social Gloves promotions launched last year with a YouTube vs TikTok event, and is now returning after a year of controversy that has seen the two YouTube stars develop a fierce rivalry.

McBroom, star of The ACE Family, headlined the debut Social Gloves fight night with a ruthless stoppage of fellow American and YouTuber Bryce Hall.

It is expected to be a large step up for McBroom to take on Gib, the Saudi Arabian-born British YouTube star who also claimed a victory at the original show. Then, Gib redeemed himself after the experience of losing within a round to Jake Paul, by demolishing TikTok creator Tayler Holder.

With Gib having been agitating for this fight with McBroom for a number of months, it has now been made official, with both of them being granted professional licences.

While the rules of the fight have yet to be confirmed, it looks as though there could be six main card fights including platinum-selling rapper Blueface, Nick Young, who returns to Los Angeles as a former NBA champion, Austin's brother Landon McBroom, and one of TikTok's biggest stars Michael Le, who has over 50 million followers.

Earlier in June, McBroom tweeted: “It’s finally official!!!! Lil Gibby better appreciate this opportunity especially after barely beating his last opponent. Might as well count this as charity work. July 30th in LA at the Crypto arena, I’m back and I’m going to make a statement and put a beating on this baby boy.

Gib also tweeted the news on the same day, simply stating: “Austin will pay for his sins.”
